Our coaching staff brings a wealth of expertise to the rink, ensuring players receive focused instruction. With a deep understanding of the game, they are dedicated to developing each athlete’s skills while fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment.

Varsity Head Coach 

Coach Vecchione brings over 22 years of experience in the game of hockey, with a strong background as both a player and a coach. A proud alumni of Lake Park High School, he played three seasons with the Lake Park hockey team before advancing to compete at the junior Tier AA-AAA levels for 2 years, gaining valuable high-level playing experience.

Following his playing career, Coach Vecchione dedicated himself to developing the next generation of players. He spent 6 years coaching in Illinois travel/High School hockey, including two years with the Chicago Bruins, where he helped shape competitive teams and guided athletes through crucial stages of their development. 

For the past four seasons, Coach Vecchione has served as a varsity coach at Lake Park/Lightning High School, where he continues to lead with a passion for the game, a commitment to teamwork, and a focus on building a strong, disciplined hockey culture. His extensive experience and dedication, makes sure that players goals are being accomplished on and off the ice.
