Summer Skates

Lightning summer skates are held throughout the summer, keeping players engaged and on the ice. Players have the option of registering for all 10 sessions at a discount, or individually à la carte.

Lightning coaches are holding off-ice training sessions in conjunction with summer skates.

Off-ice training dates are listed in the schedule below and will take place at West Meadows prior to that day’s skating session.

All Summer Skates will take place at West Meadows Ice Arena. Current schedule is as follows:

6/4 7:00pm

6/11 5:50pm (off ice), 7:00pm (skate)

6/18 7:00pm

6/28 - 3:40pm (off ice), 4:50pm (skate)

7/6 7:00pm

7/13 5:50 (off ice), 7:00pm (skate)

7/20 7:00pm

7/27 5:50 (off ice), 7:00pm (skate)

8/4 6:50pm

8/6 5:40pm (off ice), 6:50pm (skate)

$30 / Skate

$270 for all 10 skates

(select all 10 dates when registering for the first skate to receive discounted pricing)

Eligibility

Summer Skates are open to players entering 9th through 12th grade at Lake Park, South Elgin, Bartlett, or Dundee Crown high schools.

Players do not need to have previously played for Lightning as long as they meet the above criteria.

Summer Skates 2026

Keep active throughout the summer with on-ice training practices designed to enhance player skills and performance . These coach led sessions will focus on refining fundamentals through drills and game situational scenarios.
