Where
We are excited to announce that the soon-to-open Elk Grove Ice Arena will be our new primary home rink! (some ice times to be supplemented by Rolling Meadows)

When
The season begins with evaluations in August.
League games begin in September and continue until playoffs in February.
Jersey fittings for new players will be offered before/after the 7/20 and 7/27 summer skates (7:00 @West Meadows).
Season Fees
Standard Pricing
$4200 skater / $2100 goalie
Early Bird Pricing (register by 7/31)
$4000 skater /$2000 goalie
+ free shell!
Season fees can be paid in full or with a 4-month payment plan. The first payment is due after teams are formed and by the first team practice. Payments can be made via Zelle or billed through Crossbar.
Practices and Games
Lightning teams typically practice 2 times per week.
Games consist of 22+ league games over the course of the season in addition to playoffs and tournaments (typically 2).
Season fees include all practices, games, league fees, tournaments, and special events.
Uniform Requirements
Players new to Lightning Hockey will be required to purchase a set of home/away game jerseys ($276) home/away game socks ($54) and a shell ($55).
Shells will be required for both new and returning Lightning players ($55).
Helmets/gloves should be either black or dark blue.
Jersey & Shell Fittings – 7/20 & 7/27 @ WM during summer skates.
If your player cannot attend one of the fitting dates, please reach out to lightninghockeyclub4@gmail.com to make alternate arrangements.
There will also be a 2nd jersey order in August, but these will arrive AFTER league games start.
Fall 2026-27
Lightning Hockey is offered to players entering 9th-12th grade at Lake Park, South Elgin, Bartlett, and Dundee Crown high schools. We plan to field a Varsity Team and a Junior Varsity Team. Both teams play in the largest league in the State - IHSHL North Central.
